USS California BB-44 Pen
$350.00
Description
If you are a WWII veteran or just a history buff, you will like this handmade pen. It is made from a piece of teak deck that was salvaged from the battleship, USS California (BB-44), after she was bombed and sunk at Pearl Harbor in 1941.
She was raised, repaired, and placed back into service in the Pacific Fleet. Sadly, the US Navy retired her and she was dismantled for scrap in 1959. This pen is made from the Burmese Teak deck removed during that salvage operation.
This pen's hardware is Made in the USA, too. It is highly polished stainless steel that is made in Atlanta, Georgia.
American history has been preserved with this pen and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity along with a signed letter validating the wood's provenance.
I have an extremely limited supply of this unique wood and other pen styles are available, too.
This pen uses a standard roller ball refill that is available at any office supply store.
I hand make every pen and ensure that it meets the highest of quality standards. Since each one is individually made, it's not a problem to customize one for you.
Whether using my material or something that you provide, let me make a pen that you will be proud to own or give as a gift.
