Mesquite burl is a beautiful wood and makes an incredible pen. I took a piece of mesquite burl, cut it to the proper size, turned it on my lathe and topped it off with a durable finish. The gun metal hardware really compliments the natural coloring of this wood.

With a bolt action mechanism, rifle for the clip, and the tip styled after a 30 caliber bullet, this is the perfect pen for anyone who enjoys the great outdoors.

What is a bolt action pen? Think of a bolt action hunting rifle. That bolt action mechanism is mimicked on the pen to extend and retract the ink cartridge.

Speaking of ink cartridges... This pen uses a standard Parker ballpoint ink refill that is available at any office supply store. This pen will last for many years and you'll be able to easily and economically replace the ink cartridge as needed.
